The Story

Château Fleur d'Eymerits is a single hectare of old Merlot vines in Lalande de Pomerol, farmed by Vincent Lagrave. A former professional rugby player, Vincent took over his family's estate, founded in 1894, and added this small Pomerol-neighbor plot in 2013. The vines average fifty years, and the tiny production, around 7,500 bottles, is aged fourteen months in French oak. It is a regular in the Guide Hachette.

Quote from Alix

A sumptuous, brilliant ruby in the glass. That density carries onto a nose of black fruit with spice and oak. The palate is charming, with a fine attack, dense and plush, its tannins bringing a supple smoothness and a closing note of caramel. Harmonious throughout.
