A bright, honeyed sweet white from old Graves vines, fresh enough to pour as an apéritif and charming from the very first sip.

The perfect porch sipper, served well chilled.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of exotic fruit and white flowers open onto a sweet but wonderfully lively palate. The richness is lifted by a fresh, mineral edge, so it stays bright and easy rather than heavy. Best enjoyed young, while its aromatics are at their most vivid.

The Story

La Fleur des Pins comes from the Lamothe family of Château Haut-Bergeron, one of the oldest winemaking families in Sauternes. In 1987 they extended into the neighboring Graves at Pujols-sur-Ciron, on old vines that once belonged to the Sauternes appellation. Hand-picked in several passes and aged nine to ten months in seasoned barrels, it is a sweet wine built on freshness, the family's signature, and a lovely doorway into their world.

Sémillon leads here, lending a well-set structure and a richness that coats the palate, while Sauvignon Blanc rounds out the aromatics with floral notes and a very gentle acidity.
