The Lamothe family are one of the oldest families in Sauternes, with nine generations of winemakers and more than two hundred years of vines. From Château Haut-Bergeron, where some plots sit beside the legendary Château d'Yquem, they have become the most awarded estate of the appellation. They also farm the Graves at Pujols-sur-Ciron and the historic Barsac estate of Château Grand-Jauga, sustainably since 2006.
